Where do atheists think morals come from?

The brain of a dog is much more complex than the brain of a lizard, yet I doubt you would argue that they are both animals. The human brain is much more complex than that of a dog, yet you are arbitrarily segmenting humans out as something unique and apart from the rest of the animal kingdom. Would you care to explain that bit of logic and reasoning to the rest of us?
