Do Commanding Officers of U.S. Aircraft Carriers need to be qualified in Surface Warfare?

As one of the requirements to become a Commanding Officer of a U.S. Aircraft Carrier, along with the Nuclear Power training, is attending Surface Warfare Officer School, would they become qualified in Surface Warfare, and be issued the Surface Warfare insignia to we worn alongside their Naval Aviator or Naval Flight Officer insignias?
